What I am confused about is, does the fifth fret of the 6th string have to sound 100% equivalent to the open A string in standard tuning, and does the 5th fret of the A string have to sound 100% equivalent to the open D string...and so on.
That question is also applied to drop d tuning, would the 7th fret of the 6th string have to sound 100% equivalent to the open A string... and so on with the tuning of the other strings.
Help would be appreciated.
