Many guys can play fast (and frankly, when talking about hammet i find it hard to find something hiding behind the speed), but how many of them can actually WRITE songs, and not just throw up on the fretboard faster than some f-15 airplane?
Im not a big fan of metallica but i really do agree james hetfield is a good song writer and defenitly should get more credit for the stuff he does.
