Tablature question

Wondering if anyone might be able to help me interpret the tablature below for "Visions of Johanna" by Bob Dylan. Many places in the song is blank on the A string. How should this be played? There is a capo on the 2nd fret, and the notes definitely sound strummed on any recordings I've heard (not finger picked). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I'm assuming you mean this kind of thing:

|--------------------------------------|

|--0---0---0---0--------------------|

|--0---0---0---0--------------------|

|--0---0---0---0--------------------|

|--------------------------------------|

|--3---3---3---3--------------------|

You mute the A string with the pad of your finger (middle or ring, usually, whichever) being used to play the low G note on the 3rd fret E string.
