hello

have been watching the fundamental 1 videos

been watching all of them basically from scratch

have to say that i am a little bit surprised that

strumming patterns are given with symbols (such as V to denote downstroke)

or simply

D for Downstroke

U for Upstroke

M or x or (x) for mute

perhaps also with a basic musical timing (beats and bars)

i.e.

1 2 3 4

D D D D

V V V V

1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &

D D U D U D

V V ^ V ^ V

1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a

kind of thing

you could put it under the corresponding musical notation

I think that when it comes to contemporary music, this is where traditional

notation falls down, as subtleties and nuances are often left to the performings

interpretation when it comes to classical music

and perhaps people simply play the guitar like they do these days

in the days that traditional notation was developed

Yep, i think that such info would be really useful

thanks
