Barre chords on A string with ringfinger.

I have allways used middle,ring and my pinky to Barre chords on the A string since my ringfinger wont bend backwards enough

not to mute the E string.

Is it a matter of just keep going at it and it will happen one day?

You have the right idea about keeping going at it. I was baffeled by that chord more than any I ever learned. But I just accepted that I needed it and I kept working on it. One day it just started BEING EASY!

Don't sweat the high e string. Keep working at it and one day it will just show up. Probably won't be tomarrow, but it is acheivable.

I'll renew my suggestion here to set down the chord fingers before the barre finger. Made all the difference for me.
