I am liking this site so far. I thhink it. will be a keeper for me. ( songs list not so interesting to me thou).

I am not so newbie but not really intermidiate. somewhere in between. I am trying what road to take. I thought about Blues, but also fingerstyle, but also rock. I. do like John Mayer music, radiohead and a bunch of other stuff. I just want to be able to play whatever I want and not be limited by styles. I can have some sould, funk, pop, blues..you get the point.

So, in that case what will it be the best option?

Blues? firgerstyle? something else?

PD: Fundamentals 1 & 2 seems to simple for me

thanks in advance.

Osmani

Hi Osmani

This is way over my pay grade, but it almost sounds like what you really want is to understand theory. I think if you have a good grasp on theory - it will give you the ability to "not be limited."

Your post is in the Open Discussion, and I am not sure Christopher Schlegel will see this. Christopher is by far the most active GT member we have. It may be to your advantage to reach out to him. You are full access, so you will have access to his forum.

Good luck with your studies.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

Hi Osmani,

Sounds like you just want to play all sorts of stuff and that's great. I suggest you start with either Acoustic level 1 and then finish all the way to the end of of Acoustic level 2 to learn your rhythm and fingerpicking skills you want.

After that, I also recommend you taking rock and blues level 1 and level 2.

Learning guitar takes a long time as you know, and you just have to jump in!
