Welcome, John! This is a good place with good people. If you commit to it, you will reach your goal.
"I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk."
Hello John,
You`ve come to the right place. There`s a whole community of older players here just getting started and they`re all very supportive. We`re all in this together so jump right in.
Jeff
many thanks i have arthritis in my hands so was on and off trying to play bought and sold a few guitars finally found one that works for me a segull acustic s6 with a wide nut then joined here for 1 year
John, whatever you consider to be an "old guy", as Jeff stated, there is a "geezerdom" community of us on here learning. And as he also stated that community is very supportive. It's been my experience if you get stuck or frustrated or not sure about a concept, reach out here and you'll be presented a lot of encouragement and answers.
btw, my acoustic is a Seagull S6. I like it a lot. It is a really nice guitar.
