I have always wanted to play the guitar since childhood. But there was some or the other reason why I couldn't achieve this dream. Be it financial or just lack of time. Now that I am 27 I am gonna leave no stone unturned in learning this instrument. And hence in order to receive the perfect help , here I am, to get all the help possible from GuitarTricks. Reall glad to join the clan. Thank u all

i liken learning to play guitar

is like a drip of water wearing a hole in stone

a drip of water at first appears to be powerless and useless against

stone

but over years

the water (effort) ever so slowly wears down the stone

until one day

the water has made a hole in the rock

to everyone's amazement

not calling anyone a little drip though of course.... lol

but i guess that is how some of the best guitarists the world has ever seen

started off... as little drips.... lol

be that drip

and perservere!

good luck (hope not offended, wasn't intended)

Welcome, Eric! This is a good place. If you follow the GuitarTricks path, you'll get there. Lisa is an amazing instructor for beginners and everyone here so far is helpful and kind and supportive.

I first picked up the guitar at around that age, too. Wish I hadn't put it down again. Good for you.

Together, we'll get there!
