This whole new wave of rock music which is now coming across.

Does anyone actually think that it is in anyway inspirational? I personally cant see anything good coming out of this new-age stuff and am amazed at how anyone could find pleasure in it.

what do you guys think?

Does it have to be inspirational?

It rock n' roll and its fantastic - thats all that matters.

My room mate is a big White Stripes fan, so I've heard plenty of their stuff. If you kinda sit back, and relax, you will hear some interesting ideas, even if they're sloppy, it has it's own charm. My biggest complaint about the band is that the drummer because she (for lack of a less pun-tastic description)... plays like a girl... Outside of that, I realy don't have much in the way of criticism for this band; it's just not my bag.

As for the other two bands in question here, I've only heard one Vines song, I hate it, and I've never heard The Strokes. That's not enough to form much of an opinion on either band.

The way I look at things, even some of the most stripped down, basic music can have interesting ideas. I can tell you right now that my music listening would be deprived without Morphine and Scissorfight on my playlists. There are some things that can only be said with open tunings, rythmic focus, and feedback.

I dont not like Jack White because of his guitar playing, I dont like his views on other guitarists. There, thats a little better phraised than "Jack White is a Dork."

Hate this new "rock", that they call it, most real rock left when the 80s started. Bunch of Swedish crap, Silverchair wannabes. All the bands that start with The and in s, usually suck now.

Ha ha ha ha!
The Sums.
Anyone see that video. I dunno, the 'The' and 'S' thing you mentioned just reminded me of that.
