You dont need an expensive guitar...the cheapest ones can sound better than the one that cost more. I bought my first electric guitar for $100 and my first acoustic for $50. You could even buy a body and build one the way youike it(or go to someone to help you) Maybe a gibson sg or a fender strat would be good for a 1st.
