Dedicated time: 1 hour per day

First impressions on this journey:

- I have an old classical guitar (nylon strings) but looking to upgrade to an acoustic (steel strings) as I think the wider neck in the classical is working against me.

- One thing I noticed is that the course starts first with picking instead of strumming (which in my opinion seems a lot easier than picking)

...but again what do I know, I have never played guitar before :)

I know what you mean. It's been a bit of a steep learning curve, but I see the point of melody before chors: it gets your fingers used to moving around the fret board instinctively, especially on the scales, while reading tab, rather sitting on static chords.
