If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
What's a top pickup?
I'm after a new humbucker, preferably an active and splitable one, any recommendations please? It's probably going to sit on my bridge.

Seymore Duncan Alnico 2 Pro, should cost around $50-£70 for 1 depending where you get it, but if you shop around should get it cheaper.

I can recommend the DiMarzio Super Distortion from personal experience, but I get the felling from your previous posts that you might find the Tone Zone more satisfying.
I haven't been impressed by any of the active-pickup guitars I've tried. The pickup seems to dominate the sound, so that any guitar with an EMG (for example) in it sounds like any other EMG-equipped guitar. This is fine if you want to emulate the sound of someone who uses them, but I think passive pickups, especially lower-output ones, have a more personal 'feel' to them, allowing your own touch to show through.

Cool! It's amazing what you pickup and learn by accident. Speaking of Picking up cheers for the advice!
