Been working with Justin Sandercoes program for a year and playing better than I ever have been with a solid foundation and great working theory.

heard nothing but good things about guitar tricks and was running out of steam with Justins program with a lack of rock lessons (new ones anyway) so here I am [br]Biggest issue I have is that im struggling to work my way to a practice routine through all the beginner content which I have covered (the stuff I looked at already) im wondering if booking a lesson with an instructor is the best way to highlight a good starting course for me. [br][br]Anyway glad to be here looking forward to spicing things up with something new!

I have also used Justins program in app form He is a great teacher I started with guitar tricks about a month ago.

What I did was look at the lessons and if I knew the material moved on to the next lesson I spent my time learning guitar fundamentals 2 and learning the songs that are recommended for guitar fundamentals 1 and 2 I like the fact that they have a play along .and jam tracks with a real band not gpx This gets you used to keeping a steady beat without it getting boring I can also play through whole songs as opposed to part songs

The other thing is every teacher is different so if you go through the recommended songs you will find an instructor whose teaching style you prefer by the way they teach the song For me its a tossup between two of the instructors . I am concentrating on acoustic for now

Hope this helps

You could continue to use Justin's practice assistant to build a practice routine. It's completely customizable so you can create your own practice items and routines. You can include all, some, or none of the items from Justin's practice routines. That does require going through the website instead of the app, I believe. I like the way the practice assistant is structured.

It takes as long as it takes unless you quit - then it takes forever and you will never get there.
