Hi Sir, Nice reading your post . I am in my 40's and this is my first go. There is something about Guitar tricks.com that surely makes me feel that this is the right place for anyone to be encouraged to give it a shot at playing a guitar.

Lisa has been great and I am just at lesson 3 and already feeling that I made the right choice to be here and to learn the instrument.

All the best Sir and let's wish each other luck.

Cheers.

Hello!

Wow you described my journey perfectly "try hard, fail - try harder, fail, and then give up frustrated"!

I am 57 newly retired due to work slowdown trying to learn guitar and this time NOT give up and make it through. Like you I raced through Lisa's lessons with a mix of some songs on the beginner list and this far sore fingers tell the story of staying the course (drum strike ba'doom).

Admit to being instant gratification type so time will tell... Good luck to you hope we can virtually encourage one another via forum.

R/Jim
