Im going to buy a buitar body ....what kind of wood do i want? Alder? I dont think Plywood is good, or is it???

do you want a stratocaster type sound, a les paul type sound,what are you lookin for?

Alder is for strats (well, lets say its best with strats/tele's)
Mahogany with a Maple lam-top is gibson's trademark.
ahhhh...i think Ibanez uses alot of basswood.

All depends on what kind of a sound you are going for, what kind of pick-ups and bridge have you decided to use? Their are truck loads of "Good" wood to use, but what are you trying to accomplish? BTW, whats a "buitar" and how do they sound, sorry I couldn't resist..................
