I am struggling with barre chords and I wanted to know if you have to press hard or gently to barre as I have not understood the concept I am new and love your program

In general beginners will find barre chords difficult and will need to press hard to get all the notes to sound. But that's because most beginner guitar students have not yet developed the manual strength and dexterity required.

But eventually the goal to aim for is to play with just enough pressure to make the notes sound cleanly and clearly. Any more pressure is wasted effort and will put unnecessary strain on your hands and make it harder to get to the next chord.

So practice with the goal in mind of finding just the amount of pressure you need. Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot that helped and am starting to get better my barre chords have started making some tune now
