Hi,

I am looking for some help and tips on forming the G major chord.

I have been working through the Guitar Fundamentals 1 videos and I am struggling to form the G major chord on my acoustic guitar. It feels as if my middle finger is too short and my ring finger is too long. I find that when I press down on the 6th string with my middle finger I can't get enough curve in it for it not to be touching the 5th string as well. When I adjust the middle finger to not touch the 5th string, my ring finger then touches the 2nd string when trying to press the 1st string (apologies if this makes no sense!). I have tried using the pinky variation but struggle with that too.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated!
