if my memory serves correct, ghost notes are notes that sort of ring out as another note is being played. things like this are usually accidental.

let it ring out. do so by keeping your finger on the note while playing other notes...i think thats the way you do it, but u need to know how long to let it ring by listening to the song..someone correct if im wrong

A Ghost Note is a partialy articulated note.
i.e. It's not as clear as other notes, but it adds some effect or feel to the phrase.

yeah but alot of times they are accidental, like from moving from one chord to another. On the "Official Tab" ones, they have quite a few ghost notes usually, and this is from accidental notes being played.

In the example you said, it means to frett the second frett on the A-string without picking the note, or picking it slightly.

You can actualy ignore this note if you want.
