hey,i been playin guitar for bout 3 years, maby more i forget... but anyway, i jsut got a new classical guitar (acoustic ellectric ibanez) that didnt have any place for a strap, would it damage the guitar or hurt it in anyway if i was to put one on?

i would nt recommend it! Ask a professional and dont do it your self. Unless your a professional! Is thier no peg on the bottom? I know you can tie a string above the neck. Lol, i know, get one of those stick on coat hooks! lol but seriously dont as the glue would probably comprimise the finish. Ask a professional.

There are special straps for classical guitars.



The strap goes around your neck, under the guitar, and a little plastic hook, hooks into the soundhole.
Any guitarshop has these I'm sure.
