Hi, from here, England UK.

My name is Steve. I'll try and keep it simple haha.

I'm 32, always appreciated guitar music and flirted with the idea of learning to play for years!

What better time than a global pandemic?

Interests, in terms of music is metal, blues and anything SRV!

SLf x 2! Too funny. UK Steve, I lived in Houston, Tx in the 1980s and used to see SRV two or three times a year. I went down to South Padre Island for Spring Break and here comes a helicopter dropping SRV & DT behind a big stage on the beach, free show, felt like 500 degrees on the beach in a mass of semi-dressed, semi-drunk, more than semi sunburned flesh. Couple of months later here comes Stevie playing Sam Houston Coliseum for less than $20, and just to pile it on his big brother Jimmy Vaughan came out and played with him. Stevie sitting on a stool, Jimmy reaching over his shoulders playing, trading back and forth. I'm not sure I even realized how cool it was in the moment. Jimmy is still around and is pretty special, too. I think he has great style and really cool tone. Anyway your remark hit me and got me thinking about those three or four years when it really seemed like SRV was just everywhere I went. Seems like a different lifetime.

So yeah, welcome to the party, enjoy the journey!

It takes as long as it takes unless you quit - then it takes forever and you will never get there.

That is an amazing story. I've never had the chance to see him live obviously, but listening to him play does things to my soul.

I'm waiting for my guitar to arrive but I'm going to get inspired with some good music this weekend.
