Hi Kelli, welcome! I don't know if your experience with the flute will help with guitar or not but if you are realistic with your goals and willing to practice at least a little bit every day you will get there. That's what everyone is telling me, anyway (as they roll their eyes and pretend to stifle their laughter). But hey, that's just my family!
