Hi

I am Barry and I live in France. 50 years ago I thought I would like to learn guitar so here I am just starting. 2 weeks in and it is going well with Lisa, although my index finger won't stop hurting. Up to 5 simple chords now and trying to switch between them without looking. Did I mention my finger hurts

Barry

Sore fingers is one of the first badges you earn in the learning process. I don't suffer from them much any more, but I always used to take some pleasure from the pain knowing I'd put in some effort into my learning and often had a new skill to show for my suffering.

Good luck and happy playing.

Hi everyone, my name is Charles. I am 50 years old and always wanted to play the guitar but thought it would be too difficult. I started about 1 month ago and I can do the 5 open chords now. Not perfect yet but everyday, it gets better and easier. I love Johnny Cash so my first song I will try probably is Folsom Prison or Walk the line.
