3 years ago my 8 year old grandson knew he was born to play guitar. So I bought him and me the appropriate size guitar. Bought a book and started learning chords. Two months later the guitar made his fingers hurt and he moved on to video games then girls.

I kept practicing, started watching YouTube. Then that means more watching than practicing.

So after 6 or more months I decided I needed a system. So I bought justin guitar books and away I go .new way to practice lear chords then simple songs. Got it. No

I can play but doesn't sound musical.

One and a half years later hear I am 1 week. Following your beginner course for lesson 1. That is ok but not new to me than I tried you song lessons. What a difference. Playing with the instructor helps alot but the backing tracks are great I can play along here the drums so keeping time is a lot easier and it sounds MUSICAL. I'm hoping it keeps working.

Thanks from a 60 year old beginner.

PS. Sorry didn't realise it was so long

Good luck to you. Lots of us senior learners in this site.

I also bought my granddaughter a guitar. A parlor sized acoustic. She was enthused and took lessons for a few months. Then the novelty wore off and the guitar now sits in my music room. It's there if and when she wants to take it up again.
