Hi everyone

Just joined a couple weeks ago and loving it. Have been a keyboardist for over 50 years,

and also play mandolin to a point. Also have played at guitar but never really buckled down until now. Even though I already knew my open chords and some power chords, I started at the beginning and I’m so glad I did. Have some problems because of arthritis in my left hand but I can work through that. It’s never to late to learn and if I can play some BB King, Clapton and some easy Joe Pass before my time is up, it will be worth it.

Hello dsayers1.

I struggle with some arthritis in my hands as well. One thing that has helped me tremendously is to focus on posture. I find the classical position with the guitar resting between your legs to be the most comfortable. Another thing that has helped is the purchase of a pillow designed for classical guitar.

Good Luck!

Good for you. I hope you get plenty of fun and enjoyment out of it.

I'm 75 and have been through Fundementals 1 & 2 and my guitar skills are improving all the time. I play every day even if it's just a few minutes. Something comes into my head and I try it out. It's all great fun.

Guitar tricks has loads of resources for all types of playing and the instructors are awsome.

Have a good time and I wish you much success with it all.

Joe
