Acoustic pre-amp for backing track

Hi,

I was looking for an option to playalongs with backing tracks, is an acoustic amp with aux in the best option? or an acoustic pre-amp with headphones option and aux in will good as well?

if it was me i would go for the acoustic amp with aux in option over hadphones if you are using an acoustic guitar/amp

thanks, that was supposed to be the first option but as I am still learning sometimes I go for a song aver and over and I considere as well an acoustic preamp like the Palmer as an option, but I don't know if I will have huge disadvantages with it.

You could go for the Palmer acoustic pre amp but if you don't have a power amp and speaker to connect it to you would only hear through the headphones what is being picked up by the acoustic guitar pickup, and the onboard speaker emulation from the pre amp. There's nothing wrong with doing it that way but I think you would find a better tone and long time use from using and acoustic amplifier with and aux in, you can always then at a later date add the Palmer pre amp to the rig for more flexibility if you want to.

The Laney LA30D would be a good choice and it also has a headphone input if you are needing that.

Clear, got it. I was thinking at the Palmer or similar just for practicing and when more confident going with an amp as well, that was originally the idea.
