Pulled the trigger and ordered one of these. Had a play in the local store this afternoon and I must say you get a lot for the price.
Have been using my Yamaha F310 but felt a bit big. This new fella is so comfortable and has my preferred 10mm spacing.
Arrives Monday just in time to start Fundamentals 2!
You'll love it. I don't like it on the F series, but 10mm works well on the neck profile and fingerboard of this guitar.
Which colour did you get?
Yes it looks nice in most of the colour range, although I can't say I'm overly fussed about the white.
The guitar looks even better in the flesh in that Oriental Blue Burst than in promo images. A friend bought one in that colour. I went with traditional Natural.
The natural did look stunning but couldn't resist the blue.
Have you made any upgrades on yours?
Other than strings, no. I like the feel of, [u]its acoustic tone with[/u], and how it plays with D'Addario EJ16 12-53s.
Been playing mine for two years. Doesn't need any mods IMO, unless you wanted to fit a scratchplate? I didn't. It's a small enough area soundboard as it is.
Ordinarily I'd swap strap buttons out for Schaller locking, but because the instrument socket is integral to the body button, in the the individual case of the APX600 I use flexible silicon grommets instead. Tuners hold tune, nut is fine, string anchors do their job, so nothing to mod really
