As Lisa says in her lesson, the songs, if nothing else, should be viewed as an exercise to improve your chord changes. I understand that some songs can be boring to play, but in the fullness of time they'll have been a stepping stone to your next level of playing and can be left behind as you progress to more complex things.

I feel the same way about 95% of the licenced songs on the site. I find them boring and that's ok. Music is subjective. However, it hasn't stopped me learning a couple of them just to improve my overall ability.
