Just popped in to say hi. I got an acoustic guitar for Christmas and have started learning with Lisa's lessons. I'm really enjoying Lisa's teaching style and feel as though I am making progress. I have sore finger tips at the moment but I'll keep trying to do a few minutes regularly to build up my calluses. I already play the saxophone, so the music theory stuff isn't quite so daunting, as I read music and have a good grip on the basics. Learning tab is new though![br][br]

I'm a middle aged mum of three grown up kids on the Idle of Man and enjoy running, riding my motorbike and playing sax and now guitar.

Hi and welcome.

Well done to you.

I'm 75 from Essex and also play the Tenor sax, mainly for myself (and the nieghbours )

You will do well with Lisa. She is very good.

I wish you much success with learning guitar and life in general.

Kind regards

Joe.

Hello all just got my electric guitar last week and am so pumped to finally fill a dream that I have had for a very long time. Grew up idolizing Ace Frehley (for guitar playing only back in the day), Alex Liferson, Walter Becker, and Stevie Ray. Now am hoping that I will be able to play those icinoc songs that these guys made so famous.

Ace had some great licks Sand. My 1st Kiss album was Hotter Than Hell. I was 12 or 13 I think.

Best of luck.

Hi all

I've had a guitar for years and really only know a few chords, and a couple of tunes, this year I want to really learn to play, well at least a few more tunes and properly this time.

I have a question, is it possible to request a song tutorial?

I noticed Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton isn't in the songs list or Drinking Problem by Midland. Is there an option to make an acoustic guitar song tutorial?

Mark

Hi Markus,

manX shared how to request a song, but in the event you want to learn it now, there are some good lessons on YouTube that will get you up and running. It's not a complicated song and is quite fun to play along with.

Good luck

PS, I should have noted that I was referring to TW. I don't know the other song.

Welcome! Lisa is a great instructor and makes learning fun. Playing will come quicker than you think. After practicing, ice up those sore finger tips. It will help calm them down. It worked for me when I first started....

Cheers!
