Hi All.....As an older newbie, I'm struggling with getting my wrist around to get the notes to ring clear. I'm practicing often, but my wrist seems to get tired and sore quickly just learning the basic starter chords. Any advice out there? In spite of this, I'm loving the lessons, and have no intention of giving up.
Newbie...Trouble with the wrist
Hi I'm an older newbie myself and one thing I found helpful was warmup exercises for my forearm, wrist, and fingers. You can search online for hand exercises for guitar. I have found loosening up before practice beneficial. Hope this helps.

I would suggest going over the section on how to hold the guitar and make sure you have a suitable posture. Check that the head of the guitar is about the height of your shoulder and the neck of the guitar is angled a little forward. You may need to adjust how high the guitar is. If it is too low. this can prevent the arm and wrist attaining the most comfortable position. The use of a strap is recommended in both the standing AND sitting position.
I hope this is of some help.
Kind regards
Joe

I find stretching, and warm up exercises helpful too.
Sadly, nothing is as limber as it used to be...
