The recommended songs to learn after Guitar Fundamentals I, Chapter 4 involve various strumming patterns. However, this topic (strumming patterns), is not explicitly covered until Acoustic Level I. This seems an inconsistency which I'm trying to reconcile.
At what point does the strumming patterns in Guitar Fundaments I or II go beyond the simple hitting the base note and then a down strum?
Also, should I switch-up the lesson order by taking a couple lessons on these strumming patterns, and if so, which ones?
