Yo ppl!

now its me with one of those "best blabla" threads *LOL*

now when we talk about music whe shall never forget the voice of a band (which is probably the most importsnt thing in a band for the vocalist is the one who transports the message for the whole band).

so my list is as follows (in no particular order):

Freddie Mercury
Carl Anderson (first known for his powerhouse performance in Jezuz Krizt Superstar in 1973)
Jan Herford (Vocalist of Exciting Cafe along with Suzan Zeichner and Eleanor McKinley - the band of my ex-guitarteacher where i play lead/rythm now)
Elvis (i hate this guy and his music, but no doubt his voice is brilliant)
Eric Adams (Manowar)
Bruce Dickinson

I'll see you're Eric Adams and Bruce Dickenson and raise you a Hansi KĆ¼rsch (Blind Guardian) and a Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius).

yeah, I'm sold to the vocalist of Europe metal.

Good old "Bruce Bruce" would have to be my vote for the best

also there's:

Robert Plant - He's One of a kind.

Ronnie James Dio

James Hetfield

Timo Kotipelto

Tobias Sammet(i think that's his name) - The singer from Edguy, very Dickinson-ish

Michael Kiske - Helloween, feakiest voice ever, pretty cool

Ronnie Van Zandt

The guy from Sonata Artica, can't remember his name

that's all for now
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

+Joey Ramone and Ozzy Osbourne, because they remind us

can sound good anyway.

Freddie Mercury(Queen)
Mick Jagger(The Rolling Stones)
Keith Richards, maybe not the best singer, but he was very good in the late 60's - early 70's.

Im surprised no one has said one of the most under rated singers in the world. I believe he had one of the most talented and original voices. His name is

Layne Staley

His voice was undeniable, one of the few greats

I would say that it would have to be:

Robert Plant. (Led zeppelin)
For his sheer uniqueness and clearness of voice, (yes ok the high pitch as well). And the fact that he can sing for ages on end solidly with no breaths.

Ian Gillan. (Deep purple)
For his ability to sing heavily and softly in the same verse and make it sound good, he can also bend notes to suit a song and it's emotions.
We are not retreating, merely advancing in the opposite direction.

I think most of mine mine have already been mentioned, but for me one stands above all the rest - Mr Ronnie James Dio. To the best of my knowledge there's nothing this guy can't do. Other favourites also include (in rouhgly ascending order): -

Bruce Dickinson
Robert Plant
Hansii Kursch
Geoff Tate (QueensrĆæche)

Yes, i am a little metal-orientated...

I like just about all the ones mentioned so far, so here's who I'm currently most interested in...subject to change at any time:

-Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)....totally one of a kind
-James LaBrie...what a range
-Freddie Mercury...(dito)
-Geddy Lee (Rush)...you either love him or you hate him, but you'll always recognise him
-Robben Ford...just love the sound
-Peter Gabriel...better in his genesis years but still good
-Maynard James Keenan....pure metal power :D
