I'm a new member and I am enjoying the lessons so far. However, I'm frustrated that if I want to learn a song, I can't print the notation. Surely, the ability to print the song notation is fundemental. I know its related to the licencing agreements, but those agreements need to be improved. Anyone else share this view.
Printing Song Notations
To the right of the lesson window is the notation window.Under the Notation window is another window where there is a Print Notation option.

Joe
For many of the lessons Joe the "Print Option" hyperlink will not work, it has been blocked.
If the OP is a Windows user, I use "Snipping Tool". I simply do a copy/paste onto a word doc and print it. As I am not a Mac user, I can't offer anything here but would assume there is a similar tool availalbe.
This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!
@rushy51, it is frustrating, I agree. But as you said for GT to allow you to print would violate the licensing agreement. But for many songs I do as William MG suggested, I do a "screen Grab" and then load it into a graphics program and print it.
Yeah, I know, it borders on heroic effort but it the only way.
If you're using Windows 1) Position your screen for maximum area of the chart. 2) Hold down the "Alt" button and then press "PrtScr" button. 3) Load a graphics program. The Windows one is Paint. I use IrfanView. It is very good and free. 4) Load the "screen grab" from memory into the program. It will have a menu option for this or hold down the ""Ctrl" button and press "V". 5) Print away.
If you use Apple there should be a similar route.

I suppose you could go old school and copy the notation out by hand. Apparently Mozart was pretty good at that. Ha,ha.
I used to do it all the time before I got a printer. I still do it now and again.
Time consuming though.;).

Thanks for your advice guys.. I have already been printing screen grabs but its time consuming and a very clumsy way of doing something that should be very simple. Jamplay is able to provide printable TABs.
That's the only thing from keeping this site perfect!! If you had the tablature in hand ,you wouldn't have to remember everything. It is hard for me because I have brain damage and short term memory loss ,so it helps to have the tabs for studying and looking back on. These aren't perfect tabs and other websites get away with it like Ultimate Tabs and many's others . What laws would GuitarTricks be breaking?
I hooked up a PC to my basement tv and can now fully utilize the scrolling notation feature while playing a song because it's large enough to see. Changed my world.
