i cant find about capo. what is it used for and when advantages when use what botes chords come after using it. god bless donna

Hi Donna! The capo is a great tool to let you play open chords in different keys. This is a great way to avoid using barre chords if the song allows it. It also is a quick way to transpose a song into a different key.

For example, if you were to put the capo on the 3rd fret - it would allow you to play in the key of F major using open chords : An open D shape for F chord, an open G shape for Bb chord, and an open A shape for C chord. You now can play 3 chords in the key of F using all open chord shapes, instead of F and Bb barre chords without the capo.
