Hey everyone, my name is Jose. I've been playing guitar for some time, but I've never seemed to improve my ability. I joined Guitar Tricks because I'm eager to continue learning, but at the same time, I don't consider myself a full beginner, because I'm quite familiar with some introductory concepts. That being said, I was hoping I could get some advice regarding how I should utilize this platform to efficiently improve upon what I know without having to go through the beginner phases. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Jose and a warm welcome to you.

If I may suggest, start right at the beginning. I say this because, although you are familiar with introductory concepts, you may have picked up some bad habits along the way.

You can quickly run through the Core 1 and 2 sections and refresh your present skills. I am sure you will find something useful to you and stuff you may not have known about. Then, when you feel you have gotten the most out of these sections then you can decide which path to progress on.

By the way, there is a lot more on this site than just the core lessons,. Have a good look around and make a tour of discovery. It's a very rewarding site.

I wish you every success in your endeavours.

Kind regards

Joe.

Hello Jose and welcome! Joe gave you the advice I was thinking of. Only to add would be start in conjunction with the core courses one of the style courses that interest you. You can also get through these as refreshers and or corrective measures to old bad habits. This site is awesome and I hope you'll enjoy yourself!
