Will i be able to learn? finger problem

So I have been wanting to learn guitar fow a while, and finally have enough free time to make it a priority. My only concern - I cannot bend the second joint of my left ring finger (cut the tendon when I was a child and it never got fixed). Does that mean I probably can't play? Should I try to learn left handed? Not sure where to go from here.

There are a number of guitar players out there with finger injuries. It's going to be more difficult but I still believe you may be able to play. You can always learn to play with your pinky and other fingers to hold certain chords. I say give it a try and see how it goes!
