My Epiphany

I had a flash of inspiration that changed my outlook on guitar lessons and practice. I am taking guitar lessons to learn how to play the guitar. I am not praticing to learn to play the guitar, when I am "practicing" I am playing the guitar. No, I am not a skilled player yet, but parctice improves my skills at playing. Practice is not the drudge work you do before you can play, practice IS playing. Wish I had had this flash 50 years ago :/

I'm glad you had this realization. Everytime you pick up the guitar and play any note, that's playing!

It's super important to know that all practice is playing. And you get better and better only through playing and time.
