Hi there,

Small hands might or short fingers, or even larger fingers, can all seem really difficult when you're first learning how to play guitar. This is super common, and if you take time to look around the forum, you'll notice that a lot of people have felt this way. So you're not alone!

It takes a bit of time to get used to how you should hold a guitar, or how to get your fingers to do what you want them to do. Your small fingers or hands are not holding you back, it's just awkward to play guitar at first since, it's not really a natural thing. I suggest practicing very slowly, and taking your time with it. I know that's not the best answer but practice does make perfect, and you must be patient.

If the guitar's neck is too wide, or big, it's possible you may want to experiment by playing a few other guitars at a local shop, if that's available to you.
