After my 50th birthday, I decided to make a list of all the things I wanted to do when I retire. Playing guitar was at the top of the list. However, it finally dawned on me that I didn’t have to wait until I retired to learn to play guitar. The frist thing I did was get on YouTube and search for guitar lessons. Progress was slow and 6 months I stopped. I then started taking private lessons. After 3 years I learned a lot but it was expensive and my instructor was mainly an electric guitar teacher and I wanted to learn fingerstyle. And that is what led me to GuitarTricks. Although I have been playing for the last 4 years, I started GuitarTricks from the very beginning like I had never picked up a guitar in my life. Surprisingly I actually learn some new things. So far, I really enjoy GuitarTricks and hope to add some of my favorite songs to my repertoire.
