Hi everyone,
I'm 54 years old, from Italy. Although not completely beginner, I feel I'm learning and filling some gaps with the beginner course thanks to Lisa. She is a great teacher!!

Hi Mr Balf,
Yes, Lisa is fantastic! We're happy you're learning and enjoying the lessons. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you for putting a smile on my face today, Mr. Balf!
Have fun! - Lisa
OMG - I want a "shout out" from Lisa M ! Lisa M, you are my Guitar Hero! I JUST (like JUST) watched my final video of the Fundamentals 1 Course and I could not be happier with finding the GuitarTricks online school.
Mr. B - great to meet you here at the online school. Please let me know if you would like a "pen pal" as we navigate these courses and I'll keep an eye out for you on the boards. I am 51 and recently picked up the guitar. I have a very basic acoustic (Yamaha FG410) that I used to strum a little in my younger days (seriously 30 years ago - wow that sounds old), but I never had any formal lessons. I joined this site in December, but started the fundamentals course in earnest at the beginning of February. I just finished watching the final video in Fundamentals 1, but I am going to keep going back to some of the lesssons for practice and mastery (as Lisa M suggests). I'm going to post a thank you to Lisa M on a new thread and talk about my personal experience through Fundamentals 1 to give other adults that are thinking about picking this up some encouragement and perspective. I hope you and others will do the same so that we can keep each other motivated as we move forward.
Also, after a lifetime of always wanting an electric guitar, I just (last weekend) bought my first one (long stories as to why I waited 51 years, but suffice it to say that I grew up pretty poor and learned to be very frugal from a young age). So that is another crazy adventure that is just beginning. I'm going to start another post on that adventure to connect with other adults that are similarly starting that journey.
See you on the boards!
