This Guitar "Is The One"

Hi there,

The second acoustic guitar I ever bought was a Breedlove. I've never heard of the brand, and I was planning to spend $100s more on a Guild. But this Breedlove was used and sitting there, and it looked very simple. I just so happened to pick it up and play it and it felt incredible in my hands! It fit perfectly, and it sounded exceptionally clear and big, the sound I wanted.

I saved a ton of money since it was used and it's my go-to acoustic guitar today!

Other than something that feels good, sounds good and looks good, what are the characteristics of a well-made guitar that one can look for when looking for a "great buy" in an acoustic guitar? i.e. what types of wood, fret board, tuners are generally considered high quality?

Almost makes you wonder how anyone could just 'give up on the guitar' or part with it!!??
