Banjo style
Man those banjo players must be amazing. It goes so damn fast all the time and I wonder if it´s difficult and where can I find some banjo riffs. The sound is very cool and it would be cool to learn some.

they have an extra high string on the BOTTOM of the neck, so they sound WAY fast. You can chek out some tricks on this site to get some banjo like sound.

banjo players use a lot of "roll" licks when they play, playing one note per string. They also use open strings whenever possible, they open strings ringing out over the attacked notes creates an illusion of playing faster. Bluegrass guitar players incorporate all of these tricks into there playing, try checking out Tony Rice and other guys if your interested in this technique.

If you started playing those rolls when you picked up the guitar, it's easy, but if you started shred, it's harder than shred... Difficulty is a matter of experience. If you worked 2 months on a difficult Jason Becker lick, you'll work 2 months on a quick banjo roll or a country cascade.

yeah one of my old guitar teachers had one of those 6 str banjo's, he did a lot of theater work wich often required banjo parts, plus he got paid a higher rate for "doubling". It's still difficult to make them sound good.
