Bass Note

Hi Everyone,

I'm just starting out with playing the guitar and I was wondering if playing bass notes on the guitar chords are necessary? I'm having a hard time hitting the correct bass note and playing the rest of the chord correctly.

Bass notes are definitely necessary, but it all depends on what you're trying to play.

Could you tell us specifically what makes it difficult to hit a bass note while playing a chord?
