First time poster and have been learning through Guitartricks for about a month now. I am having some issues with the Spider Leg Exercise and wanted to understand a bit more about the technique. In one of the earlier lessons, Lisa stresses the importance of playing on the tips of your fingers to eliminate the “plunk” by inadvertently touching other strings. When performing the Spider Leg exercise, I find it impossible to keep all 3 fingers on their tips in each fret separately and not touch the other strings below.
With that said, my question is for the Spider Leg exercise, is the goal to simply stretch the fingers and play each fret individually on the string while keeping all fingers down? Or is it to stretch the fingers, keep them all on their tips and also avoid touching the other strings while strumming? Guidance or help is appreciated. Thanks!
