YouĀ“re a real Rolling Stones freak arenĀ“t you. John Petrucci is amazing but there are lot of other guys like Steve Vai, Eric Johnson... PS. shredders are usualy only god at lead but they have lack of imagination when it comes to chords and chors progression. Listen to Yngwies Black Star. Only E whole damn time. Poor drummer and bass player.

David Gilmour, SRV, Edge, Tom Scholz, Jimi, Brian May.

And, yeah, Jimmy Page and Neil Young.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

I think Wishing Well is a Free song.

Who's the guitarist in Free? He deserves to be on this list.

I don't know how you can say that, but its your opinion, so technically theres nothing wrong with that. However.....Keff Riffhard is one of the BEST popular guitarists in the world. Those riffs he came up with may have been simple, but they stick, and his solos are amazing,(nothing compared to Led Zeppelin) but hey. Also the way he made use of open tunings, he is an allaround great guitarist.

WHAT? No ones mentioned Jimi Hendrix? Shame on you all.
Eddie Van Halen was also cool, and I like Ritchie Samboura. (The older stuff, not so much that new album)
Zakk Wylde and Randy Rhoads too.
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'

I might have exaggerated saying he is God, hes actually better than that.

This sounds pretentious, but you really have to be a rhythm player to appreciate him fully.
