Hello all! This is my second day on Guitar Tricks. It's a breath of fresh air after trying youtube. My wonderful wife bought me a Breedlove discovery concert sitka spruce mahogany bourbon acoustic for Christmas. So i've only been playing for 11 days. I've already built up some decent battle scars on my finger tips. I've been trying to practice around 2 to 4 hours a day. Anyway, how long till I paly like Clapton? JK.

I'm looking forward to spending as much time as possible learning everything I can from all you talented people. Cheers!

Ryan.

Welcome. As a newbie myself, since 24 November, I started playing 12 bar blues yesterday. clapton’s Before You Accuse Me.

i am still doing Guitar fundamentals, but those E7, A7, B7 cords are stepping stone cords so I’m not really cheating on Lisa lol.

Good to be able to practice chord changes and actually play music, it lifts the spirit and keeps me goingso I think it’s a good thang.

i will back away now, plenty talented and experienced folks to give tips and encouragement.

I did the same thing yesterday. I tried the 12 bar blues. I got lost pretty fast. I still have to memorize chord shapes and chord transitions.
