the song is in Am. but i think the solo is in Bm. kirk hammett usually plays his scales in triplets. try playing the scales in 3's. then the arpeggios based on different triads of the Bm family. if you're trying to improvise, this a good start but if you want to play the song as it is, just get a tab and study it. hope i helped..... happy playing
