Mike, some great work on the Seven Nations song. Question: For pre chorus/Chorus video for Guitar 2, I can't quite work out your settings as it seems to have more crunch than this. Guitar 1 and to a degree 3 I can get just not this one. I am using a Mustang GT so I would assume it is similar - I just can't get that crunch with the slide. Thanks Damien

Fender Tweed Model:[br]Drive: 40% Bass: 50% Mid: 50% Treb: 65% Presence: 65%[br][br]

Hey Damien - try increasing the drive (gain) and mid controls. Don't be afraid to crank them up to extreme settings, then ease off to taste.

Another option would be to keep the amp settings the same and add some slight overdrive before the amp. Maybe a tube screamer with the gain set to 20% and tone around 75%.

Let me know how it goes!

Mike, thanks for the advice. Have been playing around with it. I dumped the Les Paul and changed to a Strat neck pickup. That made it brighter and clearer.

I changed my Amp setting in the GT from '57 twin (I believe that maybe the tweed twin setting) to the 65 twin reverb amp. Added the Overdrive. Getting closer but not as bright as yours (Gain 40; vol 57; treb 75; mid 80; bass 70) Overdrive level 75; gain 68; tone 33; blend 40. Another factor maybe that it is though a GT 100 and I cannot have it very lod so it is quite low.

now I will just focus on the slide as my strings are very tinny but I have never used one before so maybe a matter of getting used to it.

thanks again

Hey Damien, great update! I try to give decent general starting points for the settings knowing that everybody has different gear. The settings can vary wildly depending on your amp (or amp model) and guitar. Definitely the strat neck pickup was a good call - and from there just experimenting with the amp models and EQ to get you close!

Cheers!
