It takes a lot of time to learn any instrument, so you really have to be patient. I don't know how experienced you are at playing, but you may want to start and follow with the Core Learning System.

I think level 2 would work for you since, you said you have played "for quite a while."
You have to set a small goal for yourself, and go for it. What are some of the things you want to accomplish with guitar playing?

I am JUST beginning to learn. I have started the basic instructional videos of GT and now I've tasked myself with not going any further until i can do the spider exercise flawlessly.
I'm starting to think that is going to take awhile *sigh*
Any tips for getting strength in that pinky finger? My hand feels so contorted while i'm trying to reach the frets
