ITs an odd one, maybe i'm a bit dumb for asking (hell, maybe i'm a bit dumb anyway), but how exactly does Tom Morello do the solo bit in sleep now in the fire? We're trying to cover it in our band and i can't figure that at all...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Actualy I'm not sure of this cuz I haven't tried it, just listened to the song now ..

if you have a tremolo effect, set it up to slice the sound as the tempo of the song... it seems to me that it's not on all the time, so you'll have to controle it by foot...

if this doesn't work, I would try to come close without effects... I did the DJ part at the end of Limp Bizkit's "my generation" on guitar in a jam with a rap/rock band, and every body realy liked the way i did it...

Ok, what type of guitar do you have?
Some guitars have a seperate volume for each pickup.
If you do turn one all the way down and play the song. Each time it is supposed to cut out, just flip the switch to the muted pickup. The black crowes do that on a song also.
Cool effect.
Remember me.

try to figure it out yourself, it won't be hard, just some bending and some stops...

Here, I figured out the intro to the solo....
I don't listen to this band , so I don't know what kind of tuning do they use, but it seems standard to me..

all bends are quick 1.5 step (3 frett) bends...

Hope this helps.
