I was wondering if it is possible to fit a Hunbucker onto my 2002 Fender Standard Telecaster??

Anything is possible with enough time/money/effort!

What you need to check out:
  • Does your Tele body have a pocket routed into it that will fit a humbucker? (There are over-the-counter bridge plates available for this setup).
  • Do the humbuckers you like match Tele string spacing?
  • Is there a local luthier you trust to do this kind of modification for you?

What you can always in case your guitar is only routed for single coils, is installing a single coil sized humbucker.

Wouldn't you have to replace your bridge? I've seen some custom teles that have humbuckers but I would opt for some sort of hotstack instead.

While im here and while this is about humbuckers, I recently got a new guitar (fender cyclone) and I was thinking about getting new pick ups. So I have a question about distortion pickups, what is the difference? I want to get Dimarzio(think thats how you spell it) super distorion but I wanted to know what they do. The reason I want those pickups is because some of my favorite guitarist use them.

The Super Distortion is one of the early high-output humbuckers that was used by enough musicians in the '70's and '80's that it pretty much defined the heavy rock sound. Basically its built to put out enough signal to push the preamp stages of a tube amp into saturation, giving lots of sustain and distortion. More recent designs mistakenly (I think) are based on the 'more is better' theory. A pickup that is too 'hot' for your amp just makes blurred chords and thin-sounding notes. I've been using a four-wire Super Distortion at the bridge of my Yamaha SBG 1000 since 1986, and I haven't yet come across anything I thought would be a real improvement. It cleans up nicely if you back off the guitar volume setting, and when you crank it up, it responds well to subtlies of pick attack, without getting out of hand.
